Tropical Rain Forests


Tropical rain forests are Dense forests located near the equator between the Tropic of cancer and the tropic of capricon. Tropical rain forests belong to the  Af category of koppen's climate classification. 

Distribution - Amazon basin
                    Brazil
                    Peru
                    Congo rain forest in Africa
                    Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore
                    Indonesia  



The annual rainfall here is between 2000mm and 2500mm☔. The average annual temperature is 28 of Celsius๐ŸŒž.
A variety of plants are found here. Tropical rain forest is stratified in to layers. 


These include emergent layers with towering trees , Canopy layer , Understory layer and Forest floor are this layers. 

Rain forests are home to thousands of mammals, birds, Amphibians, insects, reptiles. Rare trees, animals are found in this forests. Tribal people also live in these forests ex:(pygmy, bora)

Tropical rain forests are give so many benefits to the world

 Carbon absorption
 Regulating global weather patterns
 Oxygen production
 Soil conservation
 Air purification

Unfortunately Rain forests are decreasing due to human activities.
